This isn’t new, but I just listened to Scherzo and have ALL THE FEELINGS. This is probably the only story that has ever made me really feel and believe a romantic (though not sexual) Doctor/companion pairing. You keep your River and your Rose and your whoever, I’ll have Charley. This audio deconstructs the Doctor/companion relationship, and makes them confront their feelings, good and bad, and it moves me to tears every time, which is rare for me. Largely in thanks to Paul and India’s amazing performances.
And that’s just of the many, many things this audio has going for it. (Don’t even get me started on how I adore Charley as a person and character, relationships aside.)
